This 1981 Porsche 911 Turbo coupe is a RoW-specification car that was imported to New York in 1986 and was modified during prior ownership with DP935-style composite bodywork. It moved to California in 2004 and was acquired by the selling dealer as a disassembled project in 2020. Features include a vented slant nose, widened fenders, a rear wing, and a front bumper with recessed driving light pockets. The drivetrain and interior components are missing, though accompanying spare parts include a dashboard, a sway bar, springs, brake calipers, and doors. This 930 project is now offered by the selling dealer with a clean Arizona title listing the car as a 1981 Porsche.
The stripped body is mounted on a rolling stand and features DP935-style bodywork with a vented slant-nose and widened fenders. A front bumper with recessed driving light pockets, a rear bumper, and a rear wing are included in the sale.
No engine, transaxle, wheels, or hubs are included in the sale. The selling dealer states that a partial wiring harness is included.
The cockpit retains its floor pans, and a dashboard is included in the sale. All other interior equipment has been removed.
The VIN stamping indicates a 1981 model year RoW 930 Turbo coupe with serial number 0102.
Additional images of the underside and wheel arches can be viewed in the gallery.
The removed doors are included in the sale along with a sway bar, dashboard trim, brake calipers, and springs as shown in the gallery.
The Carfax report shows history in New York, California, and Arizona, and no accidents or other reported damage from its first entry in September 1986 though its most recent in July 2020.
At ClasicCruisers.com, we connect buyers and sellers of classic cars, but we do not handle shipping directly. However, we provide guidance and resources to ensure a smooth transaction.
Shipping Arrangements
- Buyer’s Responsibility: Once a purchase is made, the buyer is responsible for arranging vehicle transport.
- Seller Assistance: Some sellers may assist in coordinating shipping. We recommend discussing delivery options before finalizing a purchase.
- Trusted Shipping Partners: We can suggest reputable classic car transport services to ensure safe and secure delivery.
Estimated Delivery Times
Delivery timelines depend on the shipping company chosen and the distance between the seller and buyer. Generally, domestic U.S. shipping can take between 5 to 14 business days, while international shipping may take longer.
Shipping Costs
Shipping fees vary based on location, vehicle size, and transport method (open or enclosed trailer). Buyers should obtain quotes from transport providers before completing a purchase.
Returns & Refunds
Because classic cars are unique and often sold "as-is," ClasicCruisers.com does not offer returns or refunds. However, we encourage buyers to follow these steps for a secure transaction:
Before Purchasing:
- Verify Vehicle Condition: Request detailed photos, videos, and vehicle history from the seller.
- Ask Questions: Communicate with the seller to clarify details about the car’s condition and history.
- Consider an Inspection: Hire a third-party mechanic or appraisal service for a professional evaluation before purchase.
Dispute Resolution
If a dispute arises, we recommend resolving issues directly between the buyer and seller. ClasicCruisers.com is a listing platform and does not handle transactions, but we encourage fair and transparent dealings.
