383-Powered 1978 Chevrolet Corvette

This 1978 Chevrolet Corvette is powered by a stroker 383ci V8 per the seller, who acquired the vehicle in 2010 and reports it has had three owners since new. Now showing 28k miles, the car is finished in black over black leather, and it has a three-speed automatic transmission, a limited-slip differential, cruise control, a CD stereo, power windows, 15″ Rally wheels, and long-tube headers linked with side exhaust pipes. The 1978 Corvette featured a revised fastback roofline with wraparound rear glass. Other exterior details include side exhaust pipes, removable roof panels, and a power antenna. The pop-up headlight assemblies open slowly, and the windshield wipers are not working.

The black-finished 15″ Rally wheels have trim rings and spinner-style hubcaps, and they are mounted with Goodyear Eagle GT II tires. Power steering, vacuum-assisted disc brakes, and Gabriel shock absorbers are additional elements.

The bucket seats are trimmed in black leather, and woodgrain trim accents the cabin, which has power windows, cruise control, and a Pioneer CD stereo.

The leather-wrapped steering wheel is mounted on a tilt-and-telescoping column. The five-digit odometer shows 28k miles, approximately 1,300 of which were added under current ownership. The dashboard clock is not working.

The seller reports the car’s L48 V8 was stroked to displace 383ci at 20k miles, and it has a four-barrel Holley carburetor, Mickey Thompsons valve covers, and Hooker exhaust headers. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a three-speed automatic transmission and a Positraction differential.
