1981 Porsche 911SC Targa Project

This 1981 Porsche 911SC Targa is a project that was used as a donor vehicle for a 356 Speedster build. The engine, transmission, and suspension have been removed, and the car has been in its current condition for approximately two years. It is finished in red over a black partial leather interior and retains seats, most of the carpets, a targa panel, glass, and air conditioning and heater system components. This 911SC is offered on dealer consignment at no reserve with a clean Washington title.

The car has been repainted in red with a black targa bar and retains a set of factory bumpers. European market headlights with body-color trim rings are installed. The seller notes that the door gaps are uneven from left to right, and photos of both trailing-edge gaps are provided in the image gallery.

The front suspension components, steering rack, and rear torsion bar assembly have been removed, and the car can only be transported using the included wheeled dolly.

The cabin features black partial leather upholstery, black carpets, and a factory three-spoke steering wheel. A set of RS-style cloth door pulls are fitted, and an aftermarket stereo and speakers are installed. Instrumentation is present, and 5,800 miles are shown on the odometer. Total chassis mileage is unknown.

Photos of the front trunk are provided, and the spare wheel, heater blower, and associated ducting have been retained.

The 3.0-liter flat-six and five-speed manual transaxle have been removed and are not included. The air conditioning hardware is intact, as is some of the engine bay wiring. Photos of the engine bay, rear upper shock mounts, and included rear shocks are provided in the gallery below.

The underbody oil cooler lines are intact and show overspray where they pass under the rocker panels. Additional photos of the underside are provided and show the floors, the inner wheel wells, and the suspension mounts.
