1975 Chevrolet Corvette Convertible 4-Speed

This 1975 Chevrolet Corvette is one of 4,629 examples manufactured for the third-generation convertible’s final year of production. Power is provided by a replacement 350ci V8 fitted with a Quick Fuel carburetor, Brodix cylinder heads, an Erson Performance camshaft, an HEI distributor, and Hedman exhaust headers. Shifting is through a four-speed manual transmission linked with a Positraction differential. Refinished in blue with a white convertible soft top, the car is further equipped with 15″ Rallye wheels, four-wheel disc brakes, and an L88-style hood. Inside, the bucket seats are upholstered in black leather and joined by a retro-style push-button radio, aftermarket speakers, and power windows. Acquired by the selling dealer in October 2024, this C3 Corvette convertible is now offered at no reserve with partial service records and a clean Pennsylvania title.

The car was finished from the factory in silver and was repainted blue under previous ownership. An L88-style hood has been retrofitted, and details include a white convertible soft top, bright rocker panel trim, dual side mirrors, and twin exhaust outlets. The windshield washers do not work, and the stitching is separating on the soft top near the rear window.

Silver-finished 15″ Rally wheels are mounted with 215/70 Goodyear Allegra Touring tires. Stopping power is provided by four-wheel power-assisted ventilated discs.

The bucket seats are upholstered in black leather, and interior features include a tilting and telescoping steering column as well as a retro-style digital radio, aftermarket speakers, and power windows. The air conditioner does not work and the heater core has been bypassed.

The three-spoke steering wheel frames a 160-mph speedometer and a tachometer with a 5,300-rpm redline. Auxiliary gauges are mounted in the center stack. The selling dealer notes that the clock and voltage gauge do not work. The five-digit odometer shows 5k miles, approximately 20 of which have been added by the selling dealer. Total mileage is unknown.

The replacement 350ci V8 was built by Wilson Race Engines in Lincoln University, Pennsylvania. Equipment includes a Quick Fuel 750-cfm carburetor, a Delco Remy HEI distributor, Brodix cylinder heads, ARP assembly bolts, and an Erson Performance camshaft, timing chain, lifters, and roller rockers.

Power is routed to the rear wheels via a four-speed manual transmission and a Positraction differential. The exhaust system features Hedman long-tube headers and replacement catalytic converters. The differential along with the rear axle and driveshaft U-joints were replaced in July 2016, and the transmission was rebuilt in August 2018.
