This 1969 Porsche 911T Targa is a disassembled project that was acquired by the seller in 2021. The exterior wears faded and oxidized orange paint, and various body panels and trim pieces were removed. The replacement five-speed transaxle is uninstalled, and the replacement 2.0-liter flat-six is disassembled, with the engine block, cylinders, cylinder heads and pistons, and other engine components included in the sale. The car also comes with various suspension components, a Targa roof panel, a front bumper, instrumentation, exterior and interior trim pieces, a spare wheel, and 14″ Fuchs-style wheels. This 911T Targa project is now offered with a Porsche Production Specifications Certificate and a North Carolina title in the seller’s name.
The exterior left the factory finished in Tangerine (6809), and areas of fading, rust, and panel repairs can be seen along the body. The car retains its doors and quarter panel windows, and the front fenders, rear bumper, and engine hood are missing. The front bumper, Targa roof panel, rear bumper overriders, and various bright trim pieces are included in the sale.
The car retains a spare wheel and 14″ Fuchs-style wheels, which wear 185-series Michelin XZX tires that show dry rot. Suspension components and the rear brake calipers are uninstalled.
The dashboard remains fitted in the interior, and instrumentation can be seen in the gallery below. Multiple interior components are missing, including the floor panels. Rust-through is present throughout.
The replacement 2.0-liter flat-six is disassembled, and various components including the block, cylinders, and cylinder heads and pistons are included in the sale. The cylinders are said to have been honed in 2021, and bore measurements can be seen in the gallery.
Rust and multiple areas of rust-through can be seen on the underside. The front trunk floor panel is missing. The replacement five-speed transaxle will accompany the car.
Various spare parts and trim pieces including the Targa top are included in the sale. The seller notes the alternator housing, distributor, flywheel, and front braking components are missing.
The Porsche Production Specifications Certificate lists factory colors, options, and a production completion date of January 1969.
