This 1969 Porsche 911E is one of approximately 858 Targa examples produced for the model year and was purchased by the current owner as a disassembled project on BaT in July 2023. The body has been stripped, repaired, and repainted in lime green. The drivetrain and interior components are missing, although accompanying components include a stainless-steel Targa bar as well as the removed side windows. This 911E Targa project is now offered at no reserve on dealer consignment with a Kardex report and a clean Michigan title.
Originally finished in Irish Green (6806), the body was stripped and rust repair was performed before being repainted in its current shade of lime green under prior ownership. The stainless-steel Targa bar and front quarter windows were removed under current ownership and are included in the sale along with the removed front bumper, side windows, and taillights.
The body is affixed to a wooden dolly that rolls on casters. Removed suspension components can be seen in the gallery.
The interior has been stripped. Retained components include pedals, rear seats, and interior trim. The gauges accompany the car in a cardboard box, and no steering wheel is included. The removed five-digit odometer shows 97k miles.
The engine and transaxle have been removed and are not included in the sale. Rust is noted on underside components.
Removed parts will accompany the car and can be viewed in the gallery.
A photo of the stamping in the front trunk is shown above.
The Kardex report shows production dates, factory color, options, and delivery to California.
At ClasicCruisers.com, we connect buyers and sellers of classic cars, but we do not handle shipping directly. However, we provide guidance and resources to ensure a smooth transaction.
Shipping Arrangements
- Buyer’s Responsibility: Once a purchase is made, the buyer is responsible for arranging vehicle transport.
- Seller Assistance: Some sellers may assist in coordinating shipping. We recommend discussing delivery options before finalizing a purchase.
- Trusted Shipping Partners: We can suggest reputable classic car transport services to ensure safe and secure delivery.
Estimated Delivery Times
Delivery timelines depend on the shipping company chosen and the distance between the seller and buyer. Generally, domestic U.S. shipping can take between 5 to 14 business days, while international shipping may take longer.
Shipping Costs
Shipping fees vary based on location, vehicle size, and transport method (open or enclosed trailer). Buyers should obtain quotes from transport providers before completing a purchase.
Returns & Refunds
Because classic cars are unique and often sold "as-is," ClasicCruisers.com does not offer returns or refunds. However, we encourage buyers to follow these steps for a secure transaction:
Before Purchasing:
- Verify Vehicle Condition: Request detailed photos, videos, and vehicle history from the seller.
- Ask Questions: Communicate with the seller to clarify details about the car’s condition and history.
- Consider an Inspection: Hire a third-party mechanic or appraisal service for a professional evaluation before purchase.
Dispute Resolution
If a dispute arises, we recommend resolving issues directly between the buyer and seller. ClasicCruisers.com is a listing platform and does not handle transactions, but we encourage fair and transparent dealings.
