Brands:

This 1969 Porsche 911E coupe was purchased by the seller from its second owner circa 2001, and it was subsequently modified for track use, a process that included converting some of the body panels to fiberglass. The car was campaigned in a variety of Porsche Club of America racing events during the 2003 season, after which it was disassembled, stripped of its interior, and placed into storage. Service to the included 901/09 flat-six within the last six years has included rebuilding the Bosch mechanical fuel-injection system and adding bored-over injection stacks. The included 901/13 five-speed manual transaxle was rebuilt within the last six years, and it features revised gear ratios and a Quaife limited-slip differential. The car is also accompanied by removed suspension, steering, and brake-system components, a set of Bursch exhaust headers, a short-shift kit, a set of four 15″ wheels, a fuel cell, gauges, two bucket seats, and harnesses. This disassembled 911E project has spent decades in Arizona, and it is now offered with removed parts, its rolling body jig, historical photographs, service manuals, and a clean Arizona title in the seller’s name.

Finished from the factory in Sand Beige (6807), the body wears matte black paintwork that shows scratches and imperfections. Track-oriented modifications performed two decades ago included fitting lightweight tail lamp assemblies, one of which is shown above, as well as altering the body with a fiberglass engine lid, front hood, front fenders, doors, and window surrounds. The car has been disassembled, and the side and rear windows, trim elements, and seals have been removed, although some of the removed parts are included in the sale as shown in the gallery below.

Suspension and steering components were modified prior to being removed approximately two decades ago. The sale includes a front-suspension assembly with Bilstein struts and a lowered steering rack. Rear-suspension parts include a set of gun-drilled torsion bars, a spare set of factory-style torsion bars, and 1982-specification aluminum trailing arms. A Tarett Engineering sway bar, 911S-specification brake calipers, ventilated and cross-drilled brake rotors, and a set of four 15″ cookie cutter wheels are also included in the sale.

The cabin has been stripped, and the removed upholstery and trim elements are missing. A roll cage has been fitted, and the sale includes two MOMO bucket seats, a set of Crow Enterprises harnesses, a short-shift kit, and three gauges, although the speedometer is missing. Total chassis mileage is unknown. A rust hole is noted in the right-rear seat pan.

The Bosch mechanical fuel-injection system of the removed 901/09 flat-six was rebuilt within the last six years, and it has been fitted with bored-over injection stacks. The sale also includes an aluminum oil-reservoir tank, a Behr oil cooler, a set of Bursch exhaust headers, a Fuel Safe fuel cell, and the removed wiring harness and oil lines. The engine has not been started since it was most recently modified, although a video below depicts the engine turning over manually.

The 901/13 five-speed manual transaxle was rebuilt within the last six years, per the seller, and work included replacing the synchronizer rings as well as adding a Quaife limited-slip differential. The transaxle features revised gearing, with a taller first gear and a shorter fifth gear.
