This 1968 Mercury Cougar XR-7 is finished in red over cream leather and vinyl upholstery and is powered by a 302ci Cougar V8 paired with a three-speed automatic transmission. Equipment includes a white vinyl roof, power steering, front disc and rear drum brakes, 14″ Cragar S/S wheels, front bucket seats, a cassette stereo, and a center console. The car received an aluminum radiator under prior ownership, at which time the shocks, tires, and brake components were also replaced.

The car is said to have been refinished in the current shade of red under prior ownership. It is equipped with a white vinyl roof, concealed headlights, sequential rear turn signals, and a dual exhaust system with bright finishers.

Chrome 14″ Cragar S/S wheels are mounted with 205/70 front and 225/70 rear BFGoodrich Radial T/A tires. Power steering is equipped, and stopping is provided by front discs and rear drums. Service in 2022 included replacing the shocks, tires, and front and rear brakes.

The cabin houses front bucket seats and a rear bench upholstered in cream leather and vinyl, and interior appointments include an aftermarket Prestige cassette stereo, a full-length center console, and woodgrain dash trim. The air conditioning system does not work, the analog clock does not keep accurate time, and the upholstery and trim components have imperfections.

The steering wheel has blemishes and frames a 120-mph speedometer, a 6k-rpm tachometer, and gauges for amperage, fuel level, coolant temperature, and oil pressure. The five-digit odometer shows 99k miles.

The 302ci Cougar V8 is equipped with an Edelbrock carburetor and intake manifold as well as a Pertronix ignition coil, Accel spark plug wires, an aluminum radiator, and finned Cobra valve covers.

Power is routed to the rear wheels through a three-speed automatic transmission.
