1966 Chevrolet Corvette Coupe

This 1966 Chevrolet Corvette coupe was purchased by the seller’s father-in-law out of Florida in 2002, and it has since resided in Maryland. The front of the body was reportedly repaired and the car was refinished in yellow under prior ownership, and power is provided by a 327ci V8 paired with a Powerglide two-speed automatic transmission. Additional equipment includes black leather upholstery, air conditioning, power windows, a dual exhaust system, 15″ turbine-style wheels, power steering, and power-assisted four-wheel disc brakes. This Corvette coupe is now offered by the seller on behalf of the owner with a car cover, recent service records, and a clean Maryland title in the owner’s name.

The fiberglass body left the factory finished in Sunfire Yellow (984), and the seller notes the front fenders and nose section have been replaced and painted to match. Features include flip-up headlights, chrome bumpers, Soft Ray tinted glass, a driver-side mirror, and a retractable antenna.

The 15″ turbine-style aluminum wheels feature knock-off spinners and are mounted with 205/75 Uniroyal Tiger Paw tires. The C2 was the first Corvette equipped with fully independent suspension, with upper and lower control arms at the front and a three-link setup with a transverse leaf spring at the rear. This car is equipped with power steering, and braking is handled by power-assisted four-wheel discs. The trailing arms have been serviced, per the seller.

The cabin features two bucket seats upholstered in Black leather as well as color-coordinated door panels and carpets. Amenities include air conditioning, a heater, an AM/FM radio, an analog clock, power windows, and lap belts.

The 327ci V8 features a four-barrel carburetor and was factory rated at 300 horsepower and 360 lb-ft of torque. The seller notes the a DeWitts aluminum radiator has been installed, the battery, fuel pump and air conditioning compressor have been replaced, the fuel lines have been repaired, and the oil was reportedly changed in preparation for the sale.

Power is sent to the rear wheels through a two-speed Powerglide automatic transmission. The seller notes the dual exhaust system is an older aftermarket replacement and has been welded.
