This 1965 Porsche 356C coupe was acquired as a non-running project by the seller’s father following a fire that sparked during an interior repair in the 1980s and has since been kept in storage. It is finished in Irish Green and is equipped with a 1.6-liter flat-four, a four-speed manual transaxle, disc brakes, body-color bumpers, and 15″ steel wheels. This 356C coupe is now offered with removed parts and Georgia registration in the seller’s name.
This Karmann-built body came finished from the factory in Irish Green (6406), and rust, paint flaking, and other cosmetic imperfections around the vehicle are shown in the gallery. The windshield and rear windows are cracked, and the lighting, dual engine grilles, and various trim have been removed.
The 15″ steel wheels are mounted with older Michelin tires measuring 205/55, and a set of hubcaps accompanies the vehicle. The car was factory equipped with disc brakes at each corner.
The cabin has been stripped apart from the passenger door panel, shifter, dash, and steering wheel. Photos showing the condition of the floors are provided in the gallery.
The three-spoke steering wheel features a bright horn ring and frames VDO instrumentation consisting of a 120-mph speedometer and a combination gauge for oil temperature and fuel level. The five-digit odometer shows 93k miles. The tachometer has been removed but is included in the sale.
The 1.6-liter 616/15 flat-four was factory rated at 88 horsepower and 90 lb-ft of torque. The car is said to have been last driven in the 1980s.
A four-speed manual transaxle is retained.
Removed parts are included in the sale and shown in the gallery below.
The car does not have a title, as it is registered in a state that does not issue titles for a vehicle of its age. It is being sold on its registration.
