This 1972 Porsche 911S Targa is a non-running project that was reportedly used as a parts car before it was acquired by the selling dealer in 2018. The car has been partiality disassembled and is not equipped with an engine, transaxle, or brake calipers. Multi-color replacement body panels have been installed along with front seats trimmed in black and red upholstery. Additional retained equipment consists of 14″ alloy wheels, a shifter, a four-spoke steering wheel, door panels, VDO instrumentation, and various electronics. This 911S Targa project is offered at no reserve by the selling dealer in New York with a roof panel, removed trim, and a clean Florida title.

Finished from the factory in Light Yellow (117), the car has received a number of replacement body panels painted various colors, and the rear quarter panels have been widened by welding on extended bodywork. Many of the replacement panels have not been welded or permanently installed on the car, and dents, areas of rust, missing paint, and previous repairs can be seen in the gallery below. The antenna and windshield wipers are missing, and there is a gap between the rear window and the stainless steel Targa bar. A roof panel with torn upholstery is included in the sale.

Fuchs 14″ alloy wheels are fitted up front and are mounted with 195/70 tires, while reproduction 14″ Fuchs-style wheels wrapped in 205/60 tires are mounted out back. The car is not equipped with brake calipers, and two lug nuts are missing from each wheel. Rust is visible on the suspension components, as are scratches on the wheels.

The cabin features front seats trimmed in black vinyl with red cloth inserts as well as tan door panels. A black dashboard and a shifter remain installed, while the carpets and rear seats have been removed. Rust can be seen throughout the interior, and the radio, headrests, and window cranks are missing. The rear seat pans, floors, and rear bulkhead are rusted through.

The steering wheel is worn and frames VDO instrumentation consisting of an 8k-rpm tachometer, a 160-mph speedometer, an analog clock, and combination gauges. The five-digit odometer shows 33k miles, and total mileage is unknown.
