This 1972 Jaguar E-Type Series III 2+2 was purchased as a restoration project by its previous owner, who sourced a replacement body shell, interior, chrome wire wheels and bumpers, and extra components. The project was ultimately not completed, and the car was acquired in 2025. It retains a 5.3-liter V12 linked with a four-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential, and the car has four-wheel disc brakes, power steering, 15” knock-off wire wheels, quadruple carburetors, a wood-rimmed steering wheel, and air conditioning components. The car starts but will require further mechanical and cosmetic repairs. This Series III E-Type is now offered with the owner’s manual, spare parts including a replacement body shell, and a clean title listing the car as a 1972 Jaguar.
The car has been partially disassembled, and there is corrosion throughout. Replacement bumpers and weather seals are included along with a spare hood.
The car retains 15″ wire-spoke wheels, power steering, and four-wheel disc brakes with inboard-mounted rear rotors. A replacement set of wire wheels is included.
The interior has been stripped, though the dashboard and air conditioning components have been retained. A replacement interior set is included.
The wood-rimmed steering wheel is damaged, though a replacement is included. Smiths instrumentation has been retained, and the five-digit odometer shows 73k miles.
The 5.3-liter V12 was factory equipped with quadruple Zenith-Stromberg carburetors. The was able to get the car started in 2025.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential.
