This 1965 Porsche 911 was delivered new to P.C. Pacific of Burlingame, California and was first owned in Reno, Nevada. Originally finished in Polo red over black leatherette, this early 911 was last registered as a non-operative vehicle in California in 1985 and was moved to Arizona by a previous owner. Gray primer now covers the exterior, and photos in the gallery show the condition of the interior and underside. A non-running replacement 2.0-liter flat-six is included in the sale along with additional spare parts as outlined in the listing below. The selling dealer acquired the car three months ago and installed the engine, which had been stored separately. This 911 project is now offered in Scottsdale, Arizona with a Kardex and a clean California title describing the car as a 1966 model year.

The original color was Polo Red per the Kardex, though the body now wears gray primer with rust and some red paint showing through. Retained trim pieces include headlamps, front bumper guards, horn grills, turn signals, and early 911 script on the engine lid.

Side window glass is present, though the roll-up windows are frozen in place. The car currently sits on wider 15″ steel wheels because the previous wheels were stolen years ago. The fog lights lenses and Talbot side mirror are missing.

The interior includes front seats with headrests, and rear seats are also present. Photos in the gallery show carpets and perforated headliner.

The dashboard top covering is gone, exposing the padding beneath. The dash face is finished with a wood veneer and retains an AM/FM radio. The wood-rimmed steering wheel is missing its center button. Five VDO gauges remain fitted, and 11k miles are shown on the 5-digit odometer, though true mileage is unknown

The 2.0-liter flat six was previously stored separately as shown in the gallery, but the seller installed it for the purpose of transport. The crankcase does not have a serial number, though the part numbers indicate that it is an aluminum unit made for a 2.0-liter engine. A cylinder head is cast with a build date of July 1965, and other mid-1965 date stamps can be seen on the inside of the valve and timing covers. The engine is fitted with single-barrel Solex 40 PI downdraft carburetors and an air can. A Bosch distributor is and a Pierburg double-head mechanical fuel pump are fitted, and an aftermarket muffler with quad tips is included. A 915 gearbox of unknown origin or condition also comes with the car.

Additional photos of the underside can be seen in the gallery, showing the floors and suspension parts.

A copy of the Kardex indicates that the car was originally optioned with a Webasto gas heater, hubcaps with Porsche crests, a Talbot mirror, and a Blaupunkt radio.
