This 1964 Porsche 356C coupe is a non-running project that is finished in red over red leatherette and is equipped with a replacement 1.6-liter flat-four paired with a four-speed manual transaxle. Features include 15″ steel wheels, disc brakes, body-color bumpers, twin engine grilles, front bucket seats, and a radio. This 356C coupe was acquired by the seller in 2024 and is now offered in Illinois at no reserve with a clean Wisconsin title in the seller’s name.
The Karmann-built body wears faded red paint and features a windshield washer system, an underside front tow ring, twin engine grilles, and body-color bumpers with bright guards. There is rust in the wheel wells, rockers, floors, fenders, and front bumper, and areas of prior repairs are visible.
The 15″ steel wheels are mounted with Mastercraft tires measuring 205/65. The car was factory equipped with disc brakes at each corner.
The front bucket seats and rear jump seats are upholstered in red leatherette, and interior appointments include a gray-painted dashboard and a push-button AM/FM radio. The three-spoke steering wheel frames VDO instrumentation consisting of a central tachometer with a 5,200-rpm redline as well as a 120-mph speedometer and a combination gauge for oil temperature and fuel level. An oil pressure gauge has been fitted in place of the analog clock. The five-digit odometer shows 73k miles.
The car is equipped with a replacement 1.6-liter flat-four linked with a four-speed manual transaxle. The seller notes that the engine does not run but turns freely by hand.
