1956 Chevrolet Corvette 3-Speed

This 1956 Chevrolet Corvette underwent a cosmetic and mechanical refurbishment circa 2015, and it is powered by a replacement 265ci V8 that breathes through dual four-barrel carburetors. Power is routed through a three-speed manual transmission, and the exterior is finished in Cascade Green with white coves. Equipment includes a white convertible top, chrome bumperettes, a wrap-around windshield, body-color steel wheels, Firestone whitewall tires, and knock-off-style wheel covers. The cabin features beige upholstery, a twin-cowl dashboard, an AM radio, and a floor shifter. Acquired by the selling dealer in 2024, this C1 is now offered in North Carolina with a clean Idaho title.

The body is said to have been separated from the frame and refinished in Cascade Green with white coves during the refurbishment. Details include a white convertible soft top, a wrap-around windshield, exterior door handles, chrome front and rear bumperettes, and dual exhaust outlets that exit through the rear bumper uprights.

Body-color 15″ steel wheels wear covers with faux knock-off spinners and are mounted with 6.70-15 Firestone Deluxe Champion whitewall tires. The car came equipped from the factory with an independent front suspension and semi-elliptical rear leaf springs. Braking is handled by drums at each corner. Various suspension components were replaced during the 2015 refurbishment.

The twin bucket seats are trimmed in beige vinyl, and amenities include seat belts, a heater, an AM radio, a floor-mounted shifter, a clock, and a dash-mounted rearview mirror. The interior was refreshed during the 2015 refurbishment, and cracks on the trunk bulkhead are displayed in the gallery.

The three-spoke steering wheel frames a 140-mph speedometer, and center-mounted instrumentation consists of a tachometer, an ammeter, and gauges for fuel level, coolant temperature, and oil pressure. The five-digit odometer shows 46k miles.

The replacement 265ci V8 was reportedly overhauled during the refurbishment, and it breathes through dual four-barrel carburetors. The battery was replaced and fluid services were completed since the selling dealer’s acquisition.
