This 1968 Porsche 912 coupe is a non-running project that has been parked since 1992. The 1.6-liter flat-four was rebuilt following an engine fire in the late 1980s, and it is mated to a four-speed manual transaxle. Features include 15″ perforated steel disc wheels, disc brakes, bright bumper guards, bucket seats, and an AM/FM/cassette radio. This SWB 912 coupe was acquired by the seller in 2024 and is now offered with service records, spare parts, a tool kit, and a clean California title in the seller’s name.
The car came finished from the factory in Polo Red (012), and the exterior was resprayed in gold some time ago. Areas of fading, exposed primer, and rust on the fenders doors, hood, and bumpers are viewable in the gallery.
The 15″ perforated steel disc wheels were mounted with 185/65 Mojave Touring A/S tires in 2024. The car is equipped with an independent front and rear suspension, and stopping power is provided by disc brakes at all four corners.
The 2+2 cabin features front bucket seat frames, along with a passenger-side door panel and a dashboard housing an AM/FM/cassette radio. Rust-through in the floor pans and rear parcel shelf is shown in the gallery. A left door panel is included in the sale.
The four-spoke steering wheel sits ahead of VDO instrumentation including a 7k-rpm tachometer, a 120-mph speedometer, auxiliary gauges, and an analog clock. The five-digit odometer shows 12k miles, which is not considered to be accurate. Total mileage is unknown.
