This 1972 Chevrolet Corvette coupe is a running project that left the factory finished in Targa Blue over blue upholstery and is powered by a 350ci V8 paired with a three-speed automatic transmission. Additional equipment includes 15″ Rally-style wheels, four-wheel disc brakes, power steering, concealed headlights, fender vents, removable roof panels, and air conditioning. This C3 project was acquired by the seller in August 2014 and is now offered at no reserve with removed parts and a clean California title in the seller’s name.
The fiberglass body wears white paint that has been partially removed to reveal the factory shade of Targa Blue (979). Exterior features include concealed headlights, fender vents, removable roof panels, and split bumpers. The weather seals have deteriorated, and various exterior trim pieces have been removed and are included in the sale.
The 15″ Rally-style wheels wear hubcaps and trim rings and are wrapped in BFGoodrich tires. Equipment includes power steering along with power-assisted four-wheel disc brakes.
The interior features front bucket seating upholstered in blue vinyl (412) accompanied by a matching dashboard, door panels, and carpets. Equipment includes a console-mounted gear selector, passenger map pockets, air conditioning components, and manually operated windows. The radio is not installed, and additional images showing dust and wear on the interior surfaces are provided in the gallery.
The three-spoke steering wheel fronts a 160-mph speedometer, a tachometer with a 5,300-rpm redline, and auxiliary gauges in the center stack. The five-digit odometer shows 21k miles, and total mileage is unknown.
The 350ci V8 features a red-painted engine block, intake manifold, cylinder heads, and valve covers.
The engine code and serial number are shown above.
Power is sent to the rear wheels via a three-speed TH400 automatic transmission. There is corrosion on some underside components.
The Chevrolet trim tag shows the car left the factory finished in Targa Blue Metallic (979) over blue vinyl upholstery (412).
Removed parts will accompany the car including chrome-finished side exhaust pipes, taillight lenses, grilles, and bumpers.
