1963 Chevrolet Corvette Split-Window Coupe 4-Speed

This 1963 Chevrolet Corvette split-window coupe was acquired by the seller in 2016 and is powered by a 327ci paired with a four-speed manual transmission. The exterior is finished in red and features a split rear window, flip-up headlights, chrome bumperettes, and simulated hood vents, and the car rides on 15″ steel wheels with chrome knock-off-style hubcaps. Further details include a PosiTraction differential, drum brakes, a push-button AM radio, and a Hurst shifter. This C2 split-window coupe is now offered with a clean California title in the seller’s name.

The fiberglass body left the factory finished in Riverside Red (923), and it features a split rear window, flip-up headlights, quad taillights, chrome bumperettes, simulated hood vents, and dual exhaust finishers that exit through the rear valance.

Chrome knock-off-style hubcaps are fitted to the steel wheels, and they wear Cooper white-stripe tires. The C2 was the first Corvette to offer fully independent suspension, with upper and lower control arms at the front and a three-link setup with a transverse leaf spring at the rear. Braking is handled by four-wheel drums.

The bucket seats are upholstered in red vinyl and are joined by a color-coordinated dashboard, door panels, and carpets. Equipment includes a heater, a push-button radio, an analog clock, and a Hurst shifter.

The three-spoke steering wheel frames a 160-mph speedometer and a tachometer with a 6,500-rpm redline as well as gauges for amperage, oil pressure, coolant temperature, and fuel level. The five-digit odometer shows 55k miles, approximately 100 of which were added under current ownership.

The replacement 327ci V8 was installed under prior ownership. It is equipped with Corvette-script valve covers along with a chrome air cleaner assembly.
